The verse inserts the word ‘eretz’ in middle of the Shivas Haminim (Seven Species) thus separating them into two.  What can be the meaning and significance in having them split into two groups?

Today’s Daf Yomi Question:

R’ Tarfon only allows olive oil since other oils are not drawn as well to the wick and involve a concern of shema yateh (Tosfos).  R’ Yochanan Ben Nuri challenged this by pointing to the people of Bavel who don’t have access to olive oil; but how does this inaccessibility mitigate the fact that it is assur on account of shema yateh?

Shabbos 133 – שבת קלג

Apparently, according to Rebbi Shimon, the passuk (La’asos) would have been applied (in the initial stage of the Gemara) to purposely rubbing off the nega; why would this be allowed?

What was the Gemara’s connection between Rebbi Yossi who prohibits the witnesses to travel, since they are presumed to be unneeded – to our case of Millah where he is completing a Mitzvah?

Brachos 5 – ברכות ה

The Gemara differentiates between a hidden Nega and a revealed one which cannot be considered yesurim shel ahava, presumably due to its public component and the embarrassment involved therein.  If so then why is the loss of a child considered to be yesurim shel ahava despite the fact that it is certainly a tragedy of public nature?
