Today’s Daf Yomi Question:

Why is there no mention in the Mishna regarding the minimum height of a Kora (ten tefachim – see 3b)?

The Gemara says the Heichal had doors for ‘tznius’ – why wasn’t that achieved by the curtain (that was hanging over the entrance) and how was this achieved by the doors which were apparently open all day (to allow for shechita)?

Today’s Daf Yomi Question:

We learn that a Korah must be within twenty to be noticeable; however, Rebbi Yehuda allows it to be placed above as well.  How is it going to be noticed?

The Gemara says that the ‘Rabim’ will pay attention and maintain the Korah properly, as opposed to a ‘Yachid’ who might neglect it.  Why are the Rabim superior to an individual, since they too are merely a multitude of individuals?

We learn from a Kal Vachomer to allow ‘Omed merubah’ (a mostly built wall) by a Mavoi.  Why do we need a Kal Vachomer to apply the universal mechitza-concept of ‘Omed merubah’ to Mavoi as well?

Today’s Daf Yomi Question:

Tosfos explains that even according to Shmuel who holds ‘Eruv mishum kinyan’ if they opt to use food for the Eruv which isn’t ‘derech kinyan’ , they will need the significant amount of two se’udos.  Since this is not by method of Kinyan, why does the Gemara say that according to Shmuel food used for the Eruv needs to be worth a Perutah?
