Tosfos explains that even according to Abaye ordinarily we don’t make a ‘gezeira legzeira’ however regarding the issur of hotzaah things are different. What can be the reason for this?

The Gemara relates that Rebbi Akiva ate the egg for no reason other than to demonstrate the halacha for his talmidim (that one does not complete a fast Erev Shabbos). But since that is the halacha, why would he not be required to eat the egg regardless of the talmidim?
