Today’s Daf Yomi Question:
Why are bread crumbs considered unsuitable for human consumption?
Rav Papa would remove the pit and toss it away (to avoid Muktza); how was he allowed to handle the pit directly with his hands?
Nobody eats crumbs. It might still be technical edible food but people don’t eat it.
Rav Papa probably still had the pit in his hand from when he ate the date.
It would seem the Gemara is teaching us a chiddush, that he handled it even after eating the date, otherwise isn’t it pashut?
