  1. How does the Gemara say that Sarah’s wrinkles smoothed out at the time of the besura, and in the same breath say there was no aging until Avraham davened for it, which was after Yitzchak was born?

  2. Hi
Based on this Gemarrah, that no one got old, then why would people have doubted that Sarah and Avraham couldn’t have children at an advanced age? A possible answer I had is that although they didn’t look old, an old person still couldn’t have children at an old age. But then how did people know that they were old? To that maybe the populace knew that Avraham and Sarah were old although they didn’t look it. I’m not thrilled with this answer and would appreciate it anyone else deals with this “Kasha”
Another Kasha is that the Gemarrah says Avraham Davened that He should become old so that they could tell the difference between him and Yitzchok. That would mean they only got old after Yitzchok was born! that’s a problem as the Chumash says that they were old before yitzchok was even born! Again my answer would deal with this as well but I don’t know if anyone says this. Thank you! Yaakov Kranz
