Today’s Daf Yomi Question:
How can wall remnants in a river be considered a ’Beis Dirah’?
I was wondering about this as well. Before looking around in the Poskim and Rishonim I am assuming that the reference here is to the bottom most part of city walls. Rav Safra figured that the walls are out of the 70 Amma range, but with the base it was within.
Also, we mentioned earlier that you don’t really need a house that is inhabited. It just has to be the type of house that gets inhabited. These wall remnants were from valid Batei Dira.
