Today’s Daf Yomi Question:
Why is going out to the Eruv site not considered Hachana, whereas verbalizing his intentions is Hachana?
The act in itself has nothing wrong with it. It is the intention that is the problem. Intentions that aren’t marked are merely intentions, and aren’t prohibited. On the oither hand, when the intention is outwardly clear that is more that an intention, it is action.
The first question was asked and answered, but when he carries the food for the Eiruv why isn’t that considered Hachana (not just intention) for the next day It’s an action?
Since the act of carrying does not indicate that it’s for an Eruv since it can be for any other personal purpose.
