Today’s Daf Yomi Question:
A pile of stones which require a shovel for removal is considered a Melacha. If the stones are above-surface of the land, what difference does it make whether they are removed by hand or via shovel?
We find in Hilchos Pesachim that a heap of stones are considered to be Battul. We also see that any kind of preparation of the ground for planting is considered Choresh. Rashi said by the Achsadra that stepping on the above ground foundations are Choresh when you are leveling the ground.
