Today’s Daf Yomi Question:
According to the opinion that a Lechi functions based on the principle of mechitza, how can a Lechi be less than three tefachim which is generally considered Lavud?
Where does Lavud come in? Lavud is about seeing something as connected when it isn’t. The Lechi is valid as a fourth wall when it is a Tefach just as a Tefach is a valid third wall for a Succah. It doesn’t shut out that side but it represents the division of that side.
