Today’s Daf Yomi Question:
According to the Tana Kama, we consider an object which provides added unnecessary security as a load and cannot be placed on an animal on Shabbos. Since the animal is merely wearing only one apparatus which will certainly provide it with the lower measure of safeguarding that it requires, why can’t we consider it valid on that account?

The underlying question is if it is the Derech for this animal to be wearing this item.
This is why we didn’t bring proof from the Libyan donkey that the Braysa says a bridle is enough, and our Mishna allows for the nose ring. Tosafos explains that although it may not need it, it is the Derech.
